Job summary

City Thrift is seeking a non-exempt warehouse team member to keep the work area clean and organized while supporting the production team with workflow and bin/cart/rack handling. The role includes training to use both the baler and forklift and to assist with loading and unloading as needed.

The position requires reading/writing, attention to detail, and good eye-hand coordination. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be 22 years or older.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate with other team members.
• Must demonstrate an attention to detail and keep records as required.
• Good eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, hang or reroute product.
• May be required to perform in an alternate role at the request of the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Empties trash as it accumulates.
• Removes empty carts while replacing them with full carts as needed by the sorters.
• Moves non-sellable items to either the baler or trash.
• Assists drivers with unloading.
• Assists customers with furniture loading.
• Produces bales as needed.
• Loads or unloads trucks as necessary utilizing the forklift.
• Operates the forklift minimally and when other team members are not present.
• Maintains a clean and organized work station.
• Regularly meets the production goals of the position as outlined by the company.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Provides friendly and courteous service in all interactions with customers.
