Job summary

City Thrift Tupelo,MS #123 - Tupelo is seeking a Warehouse Associate to keep the work area clean and organized while supporting production teams with workflow and material handling. The role includes operating a baler and forklift as trained.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, moving carts, assisting drivers and customers, producing bales, and maintaining safety and productivity standards. High school diploma or GED and ability to lift 50 lbs required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Empties trash as needed.
• Replace empty carts with full carts for sorters.
• Move non-sellable items to baler or trash.
• Assist drivers with unloading and customers with furniture loading.
• Produce bales as needed.
• Load or unload trucks using forklift.
• Operate forklift when necessary and with supervisor approval.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Meet production goals as outlined by the company.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Provide friendly and courteous service in all customer interactions.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to keep the work area clean and organized while supporting all the production team members with work flow and removal/replacement of bin, carts, hangers or racks. In addition, this team member has been properly trained to utilize both the baler and forklift.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Empties trash as it accumulates
• Removes empty carts while replacing them with full carts as needed by the sorters.
• Moves non-sellable items to either the baler or trash
• Assists drivers with unloading
• Assists customers with furniture loading
• Produces bales as needed
• Loads or unloads trucks as necessary utilizing the forklift
• Operates the forklift minimally and when other team members are not present
• Maintains a clean and organized work station
• Regularly meets the production goals of the position as outlined by the company
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
• Provides friendly and courteous service in all interactions with customers

Required Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to read, write and communicate with other team members
• Must demonstrate an attention to detail and keep records as required
• Good eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, hang or reroute product
• May be required to perform in an alternate role at the request of the supervisor
