Job summary

A community support organization in San Leandro is seeking a Warehouse Support for their food and clothing relief program. This role involves organizing donations, ensuring food safety, and assisting with distribution. Ideal candidates should have experience driving a box truck and possess basic computer skills. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and works Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Clean DMV record is required.
• Must be able to repetitively carry, sort and stock food and/or clothing up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Join Our Basic Needs Team! Be the friendly face that helps to organize and share food with those in need. Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, stock and properly store incoming donations and supplies.
• Ensure the warehouse meets food safety and quality standards by checking for expiration dates and potential recalls.
• Pickup food donations from food recovery sites, food banks and other donors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all Davis Street Basic Needs equipment such as vehicles, freezers, and refrigerators.
• Assist with food distribution to clients, both on-site and through home deliveries.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as client check-ins, processing delivery and donation paperwork

Requirements

• Experience driving a box truck or cargo van
• Clean DMV record
• Basic Computer skill such as Excel, Work and Outlook
• Must possess the physical ability to repetitively carry, sort and stock food and/or clothing up to 50lbs
