The role manages receipt, storage, issuance and accounting of supplies with a focus on accuracy and service. This is a regular full-time position with a 6-month probationary period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in selection, storing and issuing a variety of materials and supplies using a computerized inventory management system.
• Forklift Operator Certification or OSHA Forklift Safety Training Certification.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Job description

The City of Chandler Fire Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Warehouse & Supply Senior Technician. The position is scheduled to work a 5 day, 8 hour schedule through the probationary period. A modified schedule may be available upon completion.

Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Who we are

The City of Chandler Fire Department is a progressive, internationally accredited organization with an ISO Class 1 rating and a distinguished history of service to the community. City charter authorizes the Department to mitigate all hazards, including fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and crisis intervention. In support of those functions, the Fire Department staffs a fire prevention division, EMS and training divisions, mechanical maintenance facility, community preparedness office, and Department administration.

Who we are looking for

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking someone to lead and perform customer service and administrative work in the receipt, storage, issuance and accounting of supplies and inventory.

Minimum qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED; and
• 2 years of experience in the selection, storing and issuing of a variety of materials and supplies using a computerized inventory management; and
• Forklift Operator Certification or OSHA Forklift Safety Training Certification; and
• a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or
• any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
