The City of Chandler Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Law Enforcement Senior Technician – Police Aide. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. The Police Aides are required to work a 4/10 schedule, which may include being assigned to various shifts (i.e., days, swings, nights). The position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period.
A four-week Police Aide Academy is tentatively scheduled to begin in January 2027, for any Police Aide recruits hired through this recruitment process.
The City of Chandler Police Department, consisting of 362 sworn officers and 177 civilians, serves a growing population of close to 287,945 residents. The organization is divided into three main divisions, one bureau, and many sections/units. The Patrol Operations Division consisting of three precincts, 1) Main Station - Downtown & North Chandler, 2) Desert Breeze - West Chandler, and 3) Chandler Heights - South Chandler, work in concert with the Criminal Investigations Division, Operational Support Division, and Professional Services Division to meet the needs of the community. Work is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position does not supervise others.
