Job summary

The American Red Cross in Portland, OR is seeking a Stock Warehouse Assistant to support the kitting operation by processing supply totes and stocking the kitting area daily to ensure blood collection totes are available. You will work with warehouse staff and volunteers, cross-train for coverage, and operate equipment like electric pallet jacks while maintaining accuracy in receiving and inventory tasks.

A high school diploma and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated reading, writing, communication and basic mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with general office operations is preferred.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVRO may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and shipment of totes to supported sites.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff; cross-train for coverage.
• Coordinate with volunteer partners in the kitting operation.
• Inspect and report discrepancies or damage; store materials accordingly.
• Fulfill daily customer orders and prepare transportation documents.
• Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks.
• Possible data entry and inventory reconciliation tasks in the system.
• Other duties as required.
