Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Stock Warehouse Assistant in the kitting department in Portland, ME. You will process supply totes used for blood collection and stock the kitting area with supplies from the warehouse to ensure consistent availability.

You will work with warehouse staff and volunteers, cross-train where possible, and fulfill daily orders. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliable shift coverage during a 6:00am to 2:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship totes to the sites we support.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and cross-train to ensure coverage.
• Work with volunteer partners in the kitting operation.
• Inspect, verify and report discrepancies; store materials.
• Fulfill daily customer orders and prepare transportation documents.
• Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• Data entry and inventory reconciliation tasks.
• Other duties as required.
