Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Stock Warehouse Assistant to process supply totes for blood product collection and stock the kitting area daily. You will support warehouse operations, interact with volunteers, and ensure inventory accuracy.

Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Pay: $16.32 per hour. High School diploma and forklift cert may be required; valid driver’s license and ability to lift 10-50 lbs frequently.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing, communications, and math skills required.
• May be required to be certified in forklift operation.
• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record may be required.
• Ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the receiving and shipment of totes to the sites we support.
• Assist and work with warehouse staff. Cross-train staff where possible to ensure department coverage.
• Work with and help coordinate with our volunteer partners who assist in the kitting operation.
• Inspect, verify and report discrepancies/damaged materials and supplies against receiving documents.
• Store and stack materials to prescribed methods.
• Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, deliver materials and supplies to end user and/or departments.
• May operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.
• May assist with systemwide electronic computer inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and with electronic inventory reconciliation process.
