Essential Functions Statement(s)
  1. Directly oversees daily shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, and trailer loading operations.
  2. Reviews orders, shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences, ensuring that priority loads are handled timely.
  3. Supervises daily activity of warehouse Team Members and Transportation Team Members.
  4. Directs Leads regarding how the work is to be assigned for the operators and the schedule.
  5. Assigns work and monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety and overall efficiency.
  6. Plans assignments, coordinates and monitors operations within the warehouse and transportation to ensure on-time deliveries are achieved, reducing irregularities and damage.
  7. Promotes safety in work processes and Team Member performance by supporting company and/or facility safety programs by educating Team Members, and by ensuring a generally safe work environment.
  8. Enforces safety rules and regulations; ensures that all incidents are reported and documented.
  9. Communicates policies, safety regulations and SOPs to operators and Traffic Manager; monitors to ensure compliance and consistency; takes corrective action as necessary and documents the issue and actions taken.
  10. Conducts shift change/start-up meetings.
  11. Audits loads that are picked and staged on the dock, providing feedback to the operators and other supervisors.
  12. Ensures that facility is maintained clean and in an orderly fashion; audits the Aisle Assignments to ensure proper documentation and completion of housekeeping.
  13. Ensures that product damage is kept to a minimum.
  14. Works to maintain high level of Team Member morale and recognition.
  15. Responsible for the training, coaching and feedback of warehouse and transportation Team Members, and performs regular evaluations of Team Members through factual data and subjective observations.
  16. Coaches and counsels Team Members regarding job performance, methods of performing job tasks and safety.
  17. Resolves Team Member relations issues that arise during shift.
  18. Investigates operational errors/discrepancies to determine the cause; counsels/coaches operator about resolution and recommends corrective action where needed.
  19. Investigates any inventory issue, including holds or missing products for orders. Confers with Inventory Team about accuracy and quality control issues.
  20. Reviews and ensures accuracy of time records; approves time records.
  21. Informs Warehouse Senior Management of all operating issues and problems and makes recommendations for corrective action to ensure quality warehouse operations and customer service.
  22. Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, and work-related accidents.
  23. Drives vehicles or operates machines or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers.
  24. Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  25. Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  26. Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills & Abilities
  1. Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. Experience: Three (3) years previous work experience in warehouse; supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills; MS Office (Excel, Access and Word).
  4. Certificates & Licenses: Forklift certification.
