Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse and shipping employees.
• Train employees on safety, equipment and processes.
• Schedule assignments and overtime (when needed).
• Plan layout of warehouse and storage areas, taking into account factors such as turnover, size, weight, and related factors.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance, determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
• Recommend remedial action to resolve discrepancies.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Investigate and correct errors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills (verbal & written).
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
• Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8‑hour a day schedule.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports & correspondence.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
