Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a fast-paced team, and optimize processes to meet safety and inventory standards. You will coordinate with multiple departments, ensure efficient shipping/receiving, and report on performance using WMS systems.

The role emphasizes strong supervisory skills, effective communication, and adherence to policies while driving continuous improvement in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Strong general knowledge of warehousing operations.
• Proven supervisory ability and the capacity to lead others.

• Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises shipping/receiving associates.
• Controls production standards and accuracy of shipments/receiving.
• Processes store returns and vendor returns per policy.
• Coordinates with Inventory Control on slotting and space.
• Conducts daily crew meetings on safety and productivity.
• Communicates with Transportation on backhaul flow and receipts.
• Oversees inbound load appointment scheduling.
• Signs for and distributes deliveries.
• Walks warehouse daily to ensure safety and policies.
• Develops and maintains cross-department relationships.
