Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Joliet, IL to lead daily warehouse operations and a fast-paced team. You will optimize processes, ensure safety, and maintain inventory accuracy while coordinating with shipping, receiving, and other departments to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises shipping/receiving associates.
• Controls production standards, accuracy of shipments and receiving, using proper accuracy programs and systems.
• Processes store returns and returns to vendors using company policies.
• Coordinates with Inventory Control on slotting, product rotation and space allocation.
• Conducts daily crew meetings to discuss safety, productivity and accuracy.
• Communicates with Transportation on flow and receipt of backhauls.
• Supervises scheduling of inbound load appointments.
• Dispatches inbound, overnight carrier and mail deliveries as assigned.
• Inspects daily to ensure safety, security, sanitation, and pest control codes are followed.
• Develops and maintains good relationships with all departments.
