Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Requires forklift certification and ability to work with standard production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs personnel in warehouse operations according to policies.
• Studies receiving schedules and estimates worker-hours for assignments.
• Interprets specs and job orders to workers.
• Maintains knowledge of inventory processes and organizes work.
• Ensures policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Verifies product identification, weights, and warehousing.
• Manages inventory of raw materials and related paperwork.
• Oversees processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping on shift.
• Analyzes problems and motivates workers to meet goals.
• Recommends promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
• Adjusts procedures to meet schedules; maintains time and production records.
• Suggests improvements to warehousing methods and equipment usage.
