Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisor role.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible and able to adjust to variable work demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and assignment of work to maximize efficiency of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and help establish inventory levels based on past use and future demand.
• Receive shipments and enter information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality; reject undesirable items.
• Supervise warehouse and inventory to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assist in ordering from site vendors and occasionally contact vendors directly.
• Develop and recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency and lower costs.
• Provide training to warehouse employees and assist with selection of staff.
• Uncrate shipments and dispose of or store containers and packaging as appropriate.
