Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Supervisor in Sumner, IA to lead daily logistics activities and ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with customer expectations. You will coach and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, and manage performance against KPIs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• 1 year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
• Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager to meet standards and customer service specs.
• Establish work schedules and procedures; coordinate activities of workers for optimal shift performance.
• Be accountable for site KPI and collaborate with customers on operations.
• Conduct regular progress meetings to monitor objectives, coach staff and recognize achievements.
