Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II in the Kansas City area to coordinate staff, inventory, and shipping. The role focuses on directing product flow, supervising team members, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You’ll lead daily briefings, manage workloads, control costs, and uphold policy standards while providing coaching and recognition. A high school diploma and at least one year of supervisory or warehouse experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor: Understand workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Coach, train, hire and support staff. Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily.
• Plan: Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Punctuality: Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events just as it is applied to regular work schedules.
• Safety: Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and immediately correct inappropriate operating behaviors.
• Teamwork: Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and/or to fill in when short staffed.
