Job summary

TEK Productions is a full-service corporate event company creating high-quality immersive experiences in the live show, business meeting, and event space. TEK Productions seeks an Operations Center Supervisor to lead daily OC operations, oversee inventory control, and ensure proper preparation, tracking, staging, and movement of materials for live shows, meetings, and events.

You will supervise the OC Team, assign tasks, manage an inventory system, enforce standard procedures, and drive process

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience within a scenic shop, fabrication shop, event production warehouse, or related environment.
  • Experience using an inventory tracking and management software (Flex, Airtable, Goodshuffle, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience supporting live events, trade shows, experiential marketing programs, or production operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations within the OC.
  • Supervise the OC team, including Project Assistants, Project Leads, and Senior Project Leads.
  • Assign project-specific tasks and responsibilities based on priorities and schedules.
  • Manage inventory software for internal asset tracking and client viewing.
  • Responsible for overall inventory management and equipment tracking.
  • Oversee pull and pack lists and timelines for prep on all projects prior to deployment.
  • Ensure equipment, materials, and assets are accurately staged and organized with Lead or Installer.
  • Enforce daily work schedules and show site assignments set by Operations Manager.
  • Establish and maintain standardized pre-show and post-show procedures.
  • Monitor project readiness and identify issues related to inventory, staffing, equipment, and logistics.
  • Ensure proper care, storage, maintenance, and accountability of assets.
  • Responsible for purchasing or approving general and job-specific supplies.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and organization.

What You’ll Do

The Operations Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Operations Center (OC) and ensuring the efficient preparation, tracking, staging, and movement of materials.This position supervises the OC Team and is responsible for maintaining established workflows, inventory control processes, and project readiness standards.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations within the OC
  • Supervise the OC team, including Project Assistants, Project Leads, and Senior Project Leads in the execution of daily OC activities
  • Assign project-specific tasks and responsibilities to the OC team based on project priorities, schedules, and operational requirements
  • Management of an inventory software system for internal asset tracking and external (client) viewing
  • Responsible for overall inventory management and equipment tracking
  • Oversee pull and pack lists and timelines for prep on all projects prior to deployment.
  • Ensure all equipment, materials, and assets are accurately staged, prepared, packed, and organized in collaboration with the assigned Lead or Installer
  • Enforce daily work schedules and support show site assignments established by the Operations Manager
  • Establish, implement, and maintain standardized pre-show and post-show procedures for the OC Team
  • Monitor project readiness and proactively identify potential issues related to inventory, staffing, equipment, and logistics
  • Ensure proper care, storage, maintenance, and accountability of company assets and equipment
  • Responsible for purchasing or approving all general and job specific supplies and materials
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, organization, and operational effectiveness
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience within a scenic shop, fabrication shop, event production warehouse, or related environment is required
  • Experience using an inventory tracking and management software is required (i.e. Flex, Airtable, Goodshuffle, or similar systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Experience supporting live events, trade shows, experiential marketing programs, or production operations is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Ability to work in environment with varying temperatures and conditions
