AVT Productions seeks an on-site AV Lead to oversee event setup, operation, and teardown, coordinating with teams to deliver exceptional AV services.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all AV event setup and teardown for AVT Productions events.
  • Ensure AVT service level by AV Techs.
  • Oversee resources to ensure high-quality service and continuous improvement.
  • Follow protocols for AV products and services.
  • Provide professional technical support with emphasis on client service.
  • Provide solutions for presentation needs under high-pressure circumstances.
  • Respond immediately to requests during events.
  • Setup, calibration and support for AV systems.
  • Setup and operation of portable audio systems.
  • Track inventory and perform QC/repair of warehouse items.
  • Maintain safe, clean working environments.
  • Manage and implement department protocols and procedures.
  • Represent the AVT brand; participate in ongoing coaching and training.

Job description

Working effectively with both client and internal teams to flawlessly deliver event programs that drive client results against established strategic objectives, timelines and financial goals.

In addition - this role will include the operation of AV equipment and lead AV departments - audio/video/data/lighting. The lead will serve as the onsite AV point person during load in, operation and dismantle of audio visual equipment and ensure complete loadouts for all events.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
  • Reports To: Warehouse & Logistics Manager
  • Direct Reports: none
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for completing all AV event setup and teardown for AVT Productions events.
  • Responsible for ensuring A/V Techs deliver the expected AVT Productions level of service.
  • Oversee resources to proactively ensure high quality service delivery while striving for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for following protocols for A/V products and services.
  • Provide professional, courteous technical support service to all customers with an emphasis on client services.
  • Provide solutions for presentation needs occasionally under high-pressure circumstances.
  • Provide immediate response to requests for assistance to events in progress.
  • Setup, calibration and technical support for AV systems
  • Setup and operation of portable audio systems.
  • Assist with QC and repair warehouse inventory items.
  • Track inventory assets through physical inventory counting.
  • Fill client orders with warehouse inventory assets.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environments.
  • Manage and implement Audio, Data, Video, lighting department protocols and procedures.
  • Setup and operation of portable audio systems.
  • Secured signed work orders and approval of any added equipment
  • Responsible for ongoing coaching and training of new equipment.
  • Learn new technologies and retain knowledge learned.
  • Ownership – Ensuring the success of events and projects. Representing the AVT brand.
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 to 5 years working knowledge of audio visual equipment with a proficiency in lighting, sound, video capture and visual displays.
  • Auto CAD or Vectorworks design skill and experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read audio visual design documents
  • Ability to manage cable installation & terminate a wide range of audiovisual and data connectors.
  • Repair and maintenance of audio visual equipment.
  • Ability to build equipment racks and dress all cabling in a professional manner.
  • Ability to read and build audio visual design documents and equipment orders.
  • Educated on the latest event technologies, with the ability to weave these into event experience seamlessly
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Well-developed project management skills is a plus.
  • Assist Technical Director in identifying opportunities and make recommendations on strategy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Apple products and Google suite.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to take direction without follow up. Able to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others for whom you have no direct supervisory authority.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Schedule flexibility as occasional evening and weekend work is required
  • Consent to and ability to pass a background check
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Capability to stand, walk, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time.
  • Capability to climb ladders or scaffolding.
  • Capability to lift & move excess of 50lbs as necessary in the normal flow of the day to day work load unassigned and lift and move 100lbs with assistance.
  • Capability to work in high places
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
