Stabilus is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Aftermarket Warehouse in Charlotte, NC. You will oversee daily activities, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, while driving safety, quality, and KPI performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage dock scheduling and carrier relationships for on-time freight movement.
  • Lead cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits; resolve discrepancies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Warehouse Supervisor - Aftermarket Warehouse

Permanent Full Time Charlotte, NC, US

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Objectives of the Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations at the Aftermarket Warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods. This role ensures alignment with Stabilus quality standards, safety regulations, and operational KPIs while leading and developing a high‑performing warehouse team. The Warehouse Supervisor collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Production Planning, and Customer Service to support smooth, on‑time supply chain execution.

Primary Duties:
  • Comply with all attendance, conduct, performance, and safety policies.
  • Supervise all inbound and outbound warehouse activities including receiving, put‑away, pick/pack, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions in SAPorders, inventory adjustments).
  • Coordinate with Production Planning to align warehouse capacity with manufacturing schedules and production demand.
  • Manage dock scheduling and carrier relationships to ensure on‑time inbound and outbound freight movement.
  • Lead cycle count programs and annual physical inventory audits; resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, slotting, and material flow for maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Directly supervise warehouse associates including full‑time staff and temporary employees; manage schedules and shift assignments.
  • Conduct onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching for all direct reports.
  • Administer progressive discipline in accordance with Stabilus HR policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Complete and deliver timely performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Enforce all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies, OSHA standards, and Stabilus safety protocols.
  • Investigate and document workplace incidents, near misses, and first‑aid events; implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain and report warehouse KPIs: inventory accuracy, on‑time shipping, order fill rate, and safety metrics.
  • Drive Lean/5S initiatives to reduce waste, improve flow, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to address non‑conforming materials and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Education, Training, Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
  • Forklift Operator Certification preferred (powered industrial truck).
  • Lean Manufacturing / 5S training preferred.
  • SAP WM/EWM system training required (completed within 90 days of hire if not held at time of hire).
  • First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial product environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a combined full‑time and temporary workforce preferred.
  • Prior experience with SAP or equivalent ERP/WMS system required.
  • Knowledge of import/export compliance and domestic freight regulations preferred.
Job Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in SAP WM/EWM or comparable ERP/WMS system.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and warehouse regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to create and interpret reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical shipping documents, Bills of Lading, packing lists, and inventory reports.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage diverse teams across multiple shifts.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making; ability to analyze KPI trends and implement corrective measures.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Errors in inventory management may result in production delays, shipment inaccuracies, customer dissatisfaction, and financial losses.
  • Failure to enforce safety protocols may result in workplace injury, OSHA violations, regulatory penalties, and increased workers' compensation costs.
  • Inaccurate SAP transactions may cause financial discrepancies, audit findings, and supply chain disruptions across Stabilus divisions.
  • Poor team leadership may negatively impact employee morale, productivity, retention, and overall facility performance.
  • Non‑compliance with shipping or freight regulations may result in customs delays, fines, or reputational risk to the Stabilus brand.
Working Conditions
  • The position requires extensive walking over large areas at a fast pace, with frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • The role involves moving large, heavy, and bulky materials, often with the assistance of material handling equipment, and moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
  • This position involves repetitive motions and the use of fine motor skills throughout the shift. Employees may be exposed to a dusty and dirty environment at times.
  • Strict adherence to established safety procedures is required to reduce the risk of injury or accidents. Employees must maintain and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel‑toed footwear and any other required safety gear. All safety concerns, hazards, or incidents must be reported immediately to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Work environment includes a warehouse setting with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to industrial machinery and materials.
  • Must be available to work across multiple shifts and days as required by operational demand.
