Job Opportunity: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, supervising warehouse operations, managing staff, and overseeing communication between shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Assigning work for 2nd shift warehouse staff, ensuring customer specifications and delivery schedules are met.
• Overseeing inbound/outbound freight loading.
• Supervising drivers and coordinating updates and workflow.
• Reviewing deliveries for quality and conditions, reporting issues.
• Managing shipment paperwork and verifying shipment accuracy.
• Ensuring staff meet customer requirements and are trained on any changes.
• Updating systems and communicating with customers.
• Maintaining safety, training, and development standards.
• Overseeing data entry, payroll, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and food handling procedures.
• Handling accidents and emergency reporting.

Additional Requirements:

• Leadership and communication skills.
• Process improvement orientation.
• Proficient in computer skills and data entry.
• Versatile, detail-oriented, with problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience in a warehouse environment.
• Dispatch and dock supervision experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse management software (Smart Turn, TMW) is a plus.
• Understanding of DOT regulations.

Education: H.S. diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
