Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a detail-oriented 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to oversee evening warehousing operations, inventory flow, and distribution staff. The role ensures smooth shift handoffs, maintains SQF and FDA food safety standards, and optimizes staging and shipping workflows for daily outbound orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse supervision experience.
• 2nd shift experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support 2nd-shift warehouse staff, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving clerks.
• Oversee picking, staging, loading, and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and on-time dispatch for dry ingredient products.
• Enforce cGMP, SQF, and FDA standards; manage allergen control, lot traceability, FIFO, and sanitation.
• Coordinate shift handovers with 1st shift to maintain operational continuity and report shortages.
• Enforce OSHA safety guidelines; perform daily safety walk-throughs and ensure safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Train new hires on warehouse procedures, ERP/WMS systems, safety policies, and palletizing methods.

Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year

Work hours: 3:30 PM - 11 PM

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct and support 2nd-shift warehouse associates, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving clerks.
• Inventory & Shipping Management: Oversee picking, staging, loading, and receiving processes for dry ingredient products to guarantee order accuracy and timely dispatch.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce cGMP, SQF, and FDA standards. Ensure allergen control procedures, lot traceability, FIFO protocols, and strict temperature/sanitation controls are executed daily.
• Shift Handover & Reporting: Coordinate seamlessly with 1st-shift supervisors to ensure operational continuity, communicate material shortages, and record daily shift productivity metrics.
• Equipment & Facility Safety: Enforce OSHA guidelines, conduct daily safety walk-throughs, and ensure all material-handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is operated and maintained safely.
• Team Development: Train new hires on warehouse procedures, ERP/WMS systems, safety policies, and efficient palletizing methods.
