Job summary

NOV Production Midstream seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead front-line warehouse staff in Tulsa, overseeing shipping/receiving and overall warehousing functions. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, staff development, and timely operations in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent and 1–3 years of supervision, with ERP/MRP exposure. Strong Excel/Office skills and JD Edwards experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or two to four years of related experience.
  • 1–3 years of supervising personnel, preferably in shipping/receiving.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems, JD Edwards or EBS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high inventory accuracy in warehouse/shipping/receiving.
  • Hire, retain and develop warehouse personnel with corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receiving within 48 hours.
  • Coordinate daily shipments with order management.
  • Reconcile pick tickets vs. packed boxes to prevent duplicates.
  • Train employees to SOPs and conduct conduct per company policy.
  • Participate in inventory audits and reconciliations as needed.
  • Investigate shipping discrepancies for root cause and corrective action.
  • Ensure cycle counts are executed as directed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, vendors and support teams.
  • Assist in warehouse layout, design and housekeeping.
  • Support implementation of new warehouse/shipping tech and processes.
  • Focus on safety, cost control and business growth.
  • Comply with NOV policies and procedures.
  • Carry out duties per procedures and specifications.
  • Support the company objectives and other duties as assigned.

NOV Production Midstream sells a broad range of essential technologies with a high cost of failure customers can rely on, including artificial lift technologies, production chokes, reciprocating and progressive cavity pumps, and pipeline products. As Warehouse Supervisor you will be an effective team leader responsible for directing the front-line employees in the warehouse. This position is directly responsible for the shipping/receiving and warehousing function for the Tulsa location PM warehouses.

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 4 year(s) of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 -3 year(s) of experience in supervising and directing personnel; preferably in a shipping, receiving and/or warehouse
  • ERP or MRP system experience preferably JDE and EBS
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to effectively use problem solving, planning, process improvement, and implementation skills to achieve a wide array of goals and directives.
  • General knowledge of a customer driven high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Data entry utilizing JD Edwards or similar ERP system.

Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a high degree of inventory accuracy throughout the entire warehouse/shipping/receiving department
  • Responsible for hiring, and, retaining along with employee development and/or corrective actions for warehouse/shipping/receiving personnel
  • Ensures timely and accurate receiving within 48 hours
  • Coordinate with order management to ensure shipments are going out daily to customers and receiving and put away done in timely and correct manner
  • Reconcile and age pick tickets vs. packed boxes to ensure shipments are flowing timely and accurately with no duplicated picks.
  • Supervise; Train all full time or contract/temporary employees to ensure our (SOPs) procedures are met and all employees work in accordance with NOV Code of Conduct (Company Policy)
  • Participate in inventory audits and reconciliation as needed
  • Investigate shipping discrepancies for root cause and corrective action recommendations
  • Ensure accurate execution of cycle count as directed
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, vendors, customer support, and other departments regarding problem resolution
  • Aid in warehouse layout, design, and housekeeping for effective storage methods and adherence to quality requirements
  • Aid in implementation of new warehouse/shipping/receiving technology and processes.
  • Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
  • Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
  • Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance of the company’s overall objectives
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
