This position is responsible for managing and directing all activities within a Distribution Center supporting multiple manufacturing facilities that produce products for public consumption. It exemplifies leadership within a Continuous Improvement philosophy.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Oversee direct reports covering 7-day operations.
2. Conduct daily warehouse meetings.
3. Participate in production, labor planning, safety, and management meetings.
4. Communicate departmental achievements and goals in staffing and management meetings.
5. Ensure safety, quality, labor efficiency, productivity, and housekeeping within the department.
6. Serve as a point of contact for Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Production regarding material management.
7. Lead departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Lead departmental education and training programs.
9. Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies among team members.
10. Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
11. Analyze and implement cost-saving measures in labor, materials, and inventory control.
12. Ensure compliance with governmental regulations such as OSHA, DOT, and DOL.
13. Support compliance with food safety programs like HACCP, SQF, and Allergen Program.
14. Hire, discipline, and train direct reports.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
3. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
4. Experience with ERP systems.
5. Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
7. Ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.
8. Ability to identify variances and suggest improvements.
9. Ability to set departmental goals aligned with KPIs.
