Overview

QCD is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Riverside, Missouri.

This is a day shift position (Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-4pm) offering a competitive salary (paid weekly) and requiring the ability to work comfortably in cold temperatures.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all physical duties pertaining to the job
  • Use forklifts safely and effectively
  • Train, coach, and guide associates
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including administrative and clerical tasks, to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Lead a team of 27 associates, fostering a positive and productive environment
  • Develop work schedules and monitor activities and equipment usage
  • Leverage expertise in receiving, shipping, inventory control, and distribution processes
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and workflow management
  • Continuously seek process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Apply logistics principles to ensure timely product flow
  • Maintain organizational and problem-solving skills to address challenges
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and operating equipment proficiently

Performance

Job Summary: Supervises daily warehouse operations, including administrative functions, ensuring efficiency and safety. Schedules and monitors associate activities and equipment use to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan, implement, and monitor daily warehouse operations to meet objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness
  2. Monitor loading, dispatch, and receiving times, ensuring compliance with regulations
  3. Communicate regularly with associates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  4. Complete reports and paperwork, including logs and damage reports
  5. Monitor product damage and audit routes for reliable delivery
  6. Plan and schedule manpower
  7. Coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization
  8. Perform other duties as assigned

Leadership/Management Responsibility: Supervise up to 100 hourly associates, managing projects with significant customer service impact.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification: AA degree from an accredited institution and forklift instructor certification

Experience: 3 to 6 years relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of safety policies, storage, shipment, food handling, inventory control, barcoding, warehouse systems, and regulatory standards
  • Leadership in a 24/7 operation
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and interpret operational anomalies
