Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Mission Foods is seeking a talented Warehouse Supervisor for its Distribution Center in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stocking, order filling, and shipping.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain cost per pound for labor used in the warehouse.
  2. Verify all Food service orders by product.
  3. Ensure correct sending of dates to customers following written specifications.
  4. Maintain product rotation according to FIFO principles.
  5. Ensure all trucks depart on schedule.
  6. Keep employees informed about work assignments, progress, and advancement opportunities.
  7. Monitor workers to meet case movement requirements and follow procedures for late departures.
  8. Ensure compliance with GMPs related to warehouse operations.
  9. Minimize spoils and damages, following necessary procedures when they occur.
  10. Conduct accurate inventories by code.
  11. Train warehouse personnel on all aspects of operations in compliance with OSHA and AIB standards.
  12. Participate actively in safety, quality, and food safety committees.
  13. Perform safety and sanitation audits.
  14. Conduct monthly safety and food safety training sessions.
  15. Participate in safety-related assignments.
  16. Maintain open communication with production and maintenance supervisors.
  17. Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations experience required, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. At least 2 years in a supervisory role or 4 years as a lead in manufacturing. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Effective communication and training skills
  • Good math skills
  • Knowledge of GMPs, OSHA, and AIB standards
  • Ability to perform simple analysis
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in dusty, noisy, hot, cold, and confined areas
  • Dispatch truck experience in a food service department
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
Shift and Compensation:

Shift: 1st

Salary Range: $70,000 - $76,000 plus $3,000 annual bonus
