Job description

Job Overview

Oversee a team responsible for performing multiple functions related to commercial loan documentation. Primary oversight for those performing all functions relating to documenting complex and/or non-complex commercial loans originated via Commercial Bankers (CBCs) and Retail Bankers (BBCs) using Laser Pro and/or Lawyer Pro in Laser Pro and the Loan Origination System. Ensure the integrity of loan documents and compliance with credit approval terms and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to staff.

Opportunities in this Role
  • Manage the integrity of loan documentation for various commercial loan types including real estate, UCC secured, lines of credit, letters of credit, aircraft, preferred mortgages, SWAP, SBA 7a, SBA Express, and SBA 504 for new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications.
  • Verify that all loan documents are correctly prepared according to credit terms, departmental guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of work within departmental SLAs, coordinating activities via SharePoint and the Loan Origination System. Act as an escalation point for documentation issues.
  • Assist in developing procedures and process guides, and participate in projects and testing as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation issues that could delay customer closings.
  • Participate in training on Loan Documentation and relevant compliance laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, security, and government regulations.
Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

  • At least 4 years in commercial loan servicing.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role leading projects, processes, or teams.
Skills and Abilities
  • Deep understanding of commercial loan documentation, Laser Pro, Loan Origination System, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of financial contracts, loan documentation structures, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and apply common sense to problem-solving.
