Job summary

Porter Logistics in Pooler, GA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to launch and own operations for a new direct-to-consumer client. You will be the on-site leader from day one, setting standards, driving performance, and making the right calls without waiting to be told.

This role reports to an Operations Manager and is ideal for someone who has earned their stripes on the floor and is ready to step into real ownership, including occasional weekend support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehousing with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Current forklift certification or ability to certify.
• Strong ownership mindset and hands-on leadership.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in 3PL or fulfillment environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day warehouse operations for an assigned client from receiving through outbound fulfillment.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable a small team of warehouse associates.
• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts as needed alongside your team.
• Enforce accuracy, quality, and safety standards across workflows.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective action when performance dips.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for client-facing issues.
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager on staffing, throughput, and client needs.
• Keep the space organized, compliant, and running at a high level.
• Adapt quickly when the client's needs shift, including occasional weekend support.

The Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who can launch and own operations for a new direct-to-consumer client. What You Will Do

• Own day-to-day warehouse operations for an assigned client from receiving through outbound fulfillment
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable a small team of warehouse associates
• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts as needed alongside your team

• Proven ability to hold a team accountable while staying hands-on yourself
• Current forklift certification or ability to certify (sit-down, stand-up, reach required)
• High sense of ownership; you do not wait to be managed
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communicator with the ability to escalation issues appropriately
• Experience in a 3PL or fulfillment environment preferred
• Comfort operating in a start-up style environment where not everything is built yet
