Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Houston is seeking a first shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead the warehouse team and ensure service, quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.

You will supervise and train staff, coordinate shipments, manage inventory, and work with Operations leadership to meet customer requirements. The role requires 2 years of supervision, WMS experience, and the ability to work in varied temperatures with PPE.

Qualifications

• 2 years warehouse supervisory experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F in cold storage or up to 100°F in dry storage with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and assign duties to direct reports to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Manage incoming/outgoing shipments and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Plan production schedules and track time and production records.
• Track warehouse activities including sales, records control, and purchasing.

Job description

First shift, Monday through Friday 6am to 3:30pm.Supervise the operations and responsibilities of the warehouse team and designated facility. Work with Operations leadership to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectivenessManage operational procedures to include the incoming and outgoing shipments, handle the organization of merchandise, and maintain warehouse inventoryPlan production schedules and resource allocation for completion of job assignments while keeping time and production recordsTrack and send reports to designated plant personnelTrack warehouse activities including sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure availability of productsMay need to ensure accidents are investigated according to the company's accident investigation proceduresADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork with machinery and material handling equipmentResolve employee issues and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organizationPerform assigned projects as instructedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)2 years warehouse supervisory experienceExperience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)Strong conflict management skillsAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gearMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facilityAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededMust be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudWhy Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
