Job summary

Cardinal Galt CG is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure shipping/receiving goals are met. The role provides directional oversight for all warehouse staff and requires strong leadership and safety focus.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with potential overtime and weekends. Must be flexible to work other shifts as needed. Competitive benefits included.

Description

JOB DUTIES:

This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the warehouse processes to ensure that all shipping/receiving goals are met. The warehouse supervisor provides directional oversight for all warehouse members.

Schedule is M-F 8:00am-5:00pm (with potential overtime and weekend work)

Position but must be flexible to adapt and work any shift on any day to meet the needs and goals of the company.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop and maintain a team of motivated, productive, and positive employees by selecting, training, coaching, counseling, and taking appropriate corrective action to meet warehouse goals. Identify and correct training deficiencies.
• Identify issues within the warehouse processes. Work with warehouse manager to define and resolve problems as well as continuous improvement recommendations.
• Be a proponent for all safety regulations and practice good safety standards. Warehouse supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.
• Warehouse supervisor is responsible for the productivity of their shift by developing, monitoring, and maximizing team members abilities and equipment capacity through effective pre-shift planning, cross shift coordination, interdepartmental coordination as well as relaying equipment conditions through the appropriate maintenance channels.
• Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments, training, vacations, breaks and overtime assignments.
• Establish team member goals and conduct performance reviews.
• Communicate and coordinate with other supervisors/managers
• Monitor timecards, corrective action, and annual focal reviews and understand the basics of compensation and skill levels criteria.

Non-essential Job Functions

• Cover any other department as needed for supervisory duties.

Requirements

• Has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the warehouse, forklift and Rico certified.
• Ability to read and comprehend oral and written instructions and prepare and present clear and comprehensive written reports.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in high stress situations.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one situations to team members and warehouse manager.
• Ability to motivate team members to successfully accomplish the goals and objectives of Cardinal Galt CG.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other employees.
• Ability to assign, train, supervise and evaluate team members work.
• Ability to analyze situations and adapt quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action with due regard to the mission of the Cardinal Galt CG and the circumstances of the situation.
• Available 24/7 via company issued cell phone.
• Must perform at a high level in the following areas: effective supervision, teamwork, communication, conflict management, coaching, results oriented, initiative, decisiveness and maintain a safe/secure work environment.
