Responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling operations
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods and materials
• Validate shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, manifests)
• Ensure warehouse safety procedures and plant safety initiatives
• Maintain forklift safety audits and oversee lift truck operations and PM
• Manage inventory rotation, dunnage, and space utilization
• Coordinate with production, inventory control, inside sales, and planning to improve workflow
• Supervise staffing levels, schedules and daily workflow
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback
• Support 5S and sanitation, and prepare department budgets and future material needs
• Handle hazardous materials and international shipments as applicable
• Apply union contract requirements where applicable

What You Will Do:

• Provide daily warehouse supervisor oversight of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling operations
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods and materials within the manufacturing warehouse
• Ensure accurate preparation and validation of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and manifests
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, material handling standards, and plant safety initiatives
• Maintain forklift safety audits and oversee lift truck operations and preventive maintenance schedules
• Manage inventory rotation, dunnage inventory, and space utilization within the warehouse
• Coordinate with production, inventory control, inside sales, and plant planning to improve manufacturing workflow
• Supervise warehouse staffing levels, work schedules, and daily workflow
• Provide employee training, coaching, performance feedback, and documentation as required
• Assist corporate and plant continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and sanitation standards
• Prepare and manage departmental budget requirements and anticipate future material handling needs
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and international shipments, as applicable
• Apply union contract requirements, where applicable

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management within a manufacturing environment
• A minimum of two years of supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving processes, inventory control, and material handling practices
• Experience working with safety programs and compliance in a manufacturing warehouse environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, bar code technology, and inventory systems; AS400 experience is a plus
