Job summary

Quaker Houghton PA, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee all aspects of warehousing, including shipping, receiving and inventory control. You will lead daily shipping/receiving tasks, ensure timely order fulfillment, and maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating carrier pickups, and monitoring KPIs such as on-time deliveries and quality costs. This role is on-site and integral to our Detroit-area operations.

• Lead and guide shipping and receiving team members daily to complete tasks on time.
• Serve as back-up to shipping and receiving team members as needed.
• Capture Lot#, quantity, date of manufacture and total skid count/weight per order.
• Coordinate with carriers to arrange item pickup and print BOL/shipping docs.
• Load materials onto the correct carrier in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Train, develop and motivate warehouse staff to meet schedules efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Schedule associates based on business needs to minimize overtime impact.
• Cross‑check documentation to minimize shipping and receiving errors.
• Monitor KPIs such as first pass yield, on‑time deliveries, and cost of quality.
• Ensure EH&S, security, and manufacturing procedures compliance.

Job SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This role ensures the accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of goods, while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.Job DescriptionLead and guide shipping and receiving team members on a daily basis to ensure all necessary tasks have been completed timely.Serve as a “back-up” to shipping and receiving team members. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Pulling finished goods off the shelves to fill the customer orders Capture finished goods Lot#, quantity, date of manufacture and the total skid count and weight per sales order.Contact the appropriate carrier to arrange for item pick up.Print/obtain pack list, BOL and other shipping documentation and wrap and label the skids for shipment.Load appropriate materials onto the correct carrier in accordance with DOT requirements.Selects, trains, develops, and motivates warehouse staff to ensure consistent attainment of schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels.Follow-Up with the appropriate parties in the event carriers they have not arrived in a timely manner for an assigned pick-upSchedule associates based on the needs of the business with minimum impact to overtime.Partner with all colleagues to ensure labor needs are met.Cross check all documentation for verification to ensure only minimize potential shipping and receiving errors.Monitor and track relevant Key Performance Indicators including first pass yield, on time deliveries and cost of poor qualityEnsures compliance with all environmental, health, safety and security requirements and manufacturing procedures.Works with Inventory Specialist and support cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracy.Collaborate with Production Supervisor, Planning and other internal colleagues.About UsAt Quaker Houghton, we are experts in the development, production and application of industrial process fluids, lubricants and coatings for the manufacturing industry.
