Quaker Houghton in Middletown, OH is seeking a shipping/receiving Associate to ensure timely delivery of products and support light production duties. You will load/unload trucks, handle materials with forklifts, and maintain clean, safe work areas.
Responsibilities include generating SDS and labels via WERCS, assisting with inventory counts, and coordinating shipment paperwork. A High School diploma and 1–2 years in chemical manufacturing are preferred.
This position is primarily responsible for executing shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. It also includes light production duties to support on‑time production and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Day Shift 12 hours - 2.2.3 Schedule (5a-530p)
Will be required to perform these functions: May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily. Routinely required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. May be required to work in small spaces and high locations.
Works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
High School diploma/GED equivalent required. 1-2 years of related chemical manufacturing experience preferred. Must possess the ability to work in a fast pace environment, to work at different projects at the same time, and to think analytically. Good prioritization and communication skills (oral and writing).
