Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Texas is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to guide inventory movement and daily warehouse operations in our Conroe facility. You will supervise staff, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and ensure safe, efficient use of equipment.

This role requires at least one year in a lead warehouse role, strong communication and organization skills, and working knowledge of carrier operations and safety regulations. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in a lead role in warehouse, logistics, or distribution.
• One year warehouse experience including inventory control procedures and accounting relationships.
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods.
• Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations.
• Knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• Understanding hazardous shipping laws and requirements.

Purpose of Job

The Warehouse Supervisor provides guidance and direction for inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouses' to include loading/unloading trucks.

Job Components

• Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff.

• Processes inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.

Work Environment

Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs.

Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
