Primary Duties
- Manage all warehouse functions including the intake, storage, picking, staging, and dispatching of goods.
- Utilize forklifts and other handling machinery to stack, move, and load inventory to improve operational flow.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance to ensure all tools remain in safe working order.
- Oversee incoming shipments to verify counts and inspect items for quality before storage.
- Prepare and pick customer orders to help ensure the team meets all accuracy and fulfillment goals.
- Transfer inventory between various zones, trailers, and storage areas to maintain an efficient facility.
- Check all shipments for damage or errors to help maintain high quality standards for our clients.
- Perform essential warehouse tasks such as labeling, sorting, packing, and wrapping products.
- Organize daily staff schedules to ensure all operational targets are met with high precision.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members to help foster a culture of high productivity.
- Support customer service efforts by handling inquiries and resolving order-related issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all incoming and outgoing freight to ensure inventory integrity.
- Coordinate with transportation staff to help ensure timely and accurate delivery of all orders.
- Prepare and submit all necessary warehouse reports and documentation on time.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics to track daily and weekly warehouse output.
- Support inventory accuracy by participating in cycle counts and managing product location data.
- Optimize storage space and ensure all products are rotated and organized correctly.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all equipment is operated according to best practices.
- Uphold a clean and secure facility to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
- Manage facility opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience within a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in operating material handling machinery, specifically forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software and digital tracking systems.
- High level of precision in record-keeping and attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a high-speed warehouse setting.
- Strong professional habits, reliability, and a dedicated work ethic.
- Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
