Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in cargo handling. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to mentor staff while maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

You will oversee receiving, sorting, and dispatching cargo, coordinate with teams, and prepare reports for management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States or Canada as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, and dispatching of cargo.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure proper documentation of cargo movements.
• Monitor and maintain the functionality of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless cargo handling and delivery.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare operational reports and updates for management.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment by recognizing team contributions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Flexibility toworkvarying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiencyin warehouse management systems (WMS) and related tools.

Qualifications:

• If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
