Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the ground handling operations for airline customers in Los Angeles. You will oversee Office, Warehouse & Ramp and ensure a safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include directing supervisory teams, creating schedules, training staff, serving as the primary point of contact for customers, and driving improvements in safety and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industry leadership experience.
• At least 3 years ramp agent experience and 3 years aviation management experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage conflict under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the entire operation for the customer airline including Office, Warehouse & Ramp.
• Develop & direct work assignment for supervisory teams and agents for both the warehouse and office.
• Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for the operation and manage day-to-day labor requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training and ongoing team member professional development opportunities.
• Serve as point person for customers and management to minimize or eliminate potential delays.
• Observe and enforce all AGI and Airline safety regulations as well as company policies.
• Assure that all operational equipment is safe to operate and report any discrepancy.
• Actively search for and report to station management any future business opportunities.
• Assist with all Warehouse and Office team duties (safety walks, cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.) as needed.
• Extensive understanding of cargo operations and customer internal SOP.
• Conduct and participate in company and customer audits.
• Understand and Manage operational KPI.
• Provide excellent Customer Service through written and verbal commination.
• Create and implement corrective action and preventive measures for all related safety and operational incidents.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

As a Duty Manager you will:

To be a Duty Manager you must have:

• Ability to work in a team environment and manage conflict while under pressure.
• Possess excellent organizational and planning skills both orally and written.
• Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office products.
• Must be customer focused and have quality awareness.
• A minimum of 2 years industry leadership experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

As a Duty Manager you must be able to:

• Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
• Carry heavy items up and down stairs.
• Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
• Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
• Obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check.
