Job summary

Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Stores Consultant - F/C (Warehouse) at Hardee Correctional Institution. The position supports security and operational efficiency by managing inmate and institutional mail, processing legal mail, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Occasional CDL readiness may be needed; applications are reviewed as they arrive, with comprehensive benefits and retirement

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Transcripts may be required if selected for the position.
• Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Process all inmate and institutional mail traffic, ensuring no contraband and following mail rules.
• Deliver legal mail, keep detailed logs, and act as notary when needed.
• Distribute institutional mail, draft routine replies, and update reports.
• Handle court documents and assist with mailroom tasks.
• Manage warehouse inventory, receive goods, tag property, and assist staff and vendors.
• May be required to hold a CDL license.
