Responsibilities

• Be the gatekeeper of security by processing all incoming and outgoing inmate and institutional mail, ensuring no contraband slips through and adhering to mail rules and procedures, including handling legal and privileged mail.
• Deliver legal mail, maintain logs, and act as a notary when needed, ensuring proper handling and documentation of every piece of mail.
• Distribute institutional mail, prepare routine replies, update reports, and process inmate grievances to keep operations running smoothly.
• Provide essential clerical support for institutional operations, handle court documents, and assist with mailroom tasks as needed.
• Manage warehouse inventory, process received goods, place property tags, and assist vendors and staff with routine questions while maintaining professional relationships.
• This position may require the incumbent to possess a CDL license.

The Warehouse efficiently manages the storage and distribution of supplies, as well as handles all incoming and outgoing mail for the correctional facilities. We aim to ensure that all operations run smoothly, supporting the overall functioning of the institution and meeting the needs of both staff and inmates.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES
