Job summary

U.S. LUMBER, an SBP company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Smithfield, NC to assist with grounds, cleaning, and material handling. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, and operating equipment in a safety-conscious environment.

Shift Times: 9am - Close, Mon - Friday. Hourly pay rate: $18/hour + benefits. This role requires teamwork, vigilance for safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• General Labor.
• Riding the sweeper to sweep warehouse floors.
• General cleaning/housekeeping duties
• Off-loading and packaging lumber.
• Safely operate forklift and other machinery
• Band, wrap, tape product
• Maintain work area and be organized
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports
• Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
• Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
• Work in an outside warehouse environment
• Follow all safety procedures
• Work in a team environment
• Other duties may be assigned
