Job summary

SwiftX Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in New Jersey to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, leading sorting and dispatch activities, staff management, and coordination with delivery providers.

You will drive throughput, ensure accuracy, monitor KPIs, and enforce safety standards in a fast-paced environment. You will manage automated sorting equipment, collaborate with vendors, and optimize labor and equipment utilization while maintaining strict adherence to SOPs and SLAs for parcel

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or last-mile logistics operations.
• Hands-on experience with automated sorting machines (cross-belt, tilt-tray, loop sorter).
• Strong understanding of parcel logistics, last-mile delivery flow, and SLA requirements.
• Proven ability to manage large operational teams, including staffing agency workers.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in WMS, scanning systems, Excel/Sheets, and operational dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of the automated parcel sorting process.
• Ensure accurate scanning, induction, sorting, and dispatching of last-mile packages.
• Monitor sorting line throughput, accuracy rate, and downtime.
• Optimize workflows to improve capacity, speed, and cost efficiency.
• Operate and supervise automated sorting machines and related equipment.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair requests.
• Work closely with equipment vendors/technicians to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with machine operation protocols.
• Forecast labor requirements and coordinate staffing needs.
• Manage relationships with staffing agencies, ensuring quality and performance.
• Oversee onboarding, training, scheduling, and productivity for workers.
• Monitor labor KPIs including attendance, efficiency, and performance.
• Enforce warehouse safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and quality standards.
• Conduct safety audits, equipment checks, and compliance reviews.
• Ensure SOPs, scanning rules, and parcel-handling standards are followed.
• Maintain real-time visibility on parcel volume, flow, backlog, and exceptions.
• Coordinate with linehaul, dispatch, and last-mile delivery teams.
• Ensure SLAs for parcel processing and outbound dispatch are met.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports (volume, throughput, error rate, labor cost).
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Present performance updates to senior management.

As a Warehouse Supervisor at SwiftX Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations in our warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that all processes run smoothly for both sorting and dispatching, from managing staff to coordinating with delivery service providers. Your leadership will directly influence the effectiveness of our logistics network and enhance customer satisfaction.

1. Sorting Operations Management

3. Workforce & Staffing Agency Management

• Forecast labor requirements and coordinate daily/weekly staffing needs.
• Manage relationships with staffing agencies, ensuring quality and performance.
• Oversee onboarding, training, scheduling, and productivity for temporary and full-time workers.
• Monitor labor KPIs including attendance, efficiency, and performance.

4. Operational Compliance & Safety

• Enforce warehouse safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, equipment checks, and compliance reviews.
• Ensure all employees follow SOPs, scanning rules, and parcel-handling standards.

5. Inventory & Parcel Flow Control

• Maintain real-time visibility on parcel volume, flow, backlog, and exceptions.
• Coordinate with linehaul, dispatch, and last-mile delivery teams.
• Ensure SLAs for parcel processing and outbound dispatch are met.

6. Reporting & KPI Management

• Produce daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (volume, throughput, error rate, labor cost, etc.).
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive operational improvements.
