Job summary

PROSOCO, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Specialist - Samples to pick, stage and load customer orders for timely delivery and to receive raw materials used in manufacturing.

This role requires proficiency with fork lifts and WMS, along with attention to accuracy and safety. You will prepare sample containers, label shipments, and handle domestic and international shipments while maintaining clear communication with production and logistics teams.

Qualifications

Must be able to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English for safety.
Experience in warehouse or logistics environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick, stage and load customer orders for timely delivery.
Receive raw materials used in manufacturing.
Fill, cap and label sample containers.
Pick and package sample orders for shipment.
Ship packages via Parcel Service or Truck Line.
Print on-demand labels for samples and products.
Prepare international shipments.
Operate forklift.
Maintain finished goods inventory in bin locations.
Use WMS to pick orders and load per Bill of Lading.
Offload incoming materials from trucks and perform cycle counts.
Collaborate with other production areas as needed.

Job Summary

To properly pick, stage and load customer orders for timely delivery, and to receive raw materials used in manufacturing process and communicate progress of shipping and receiving.

Essential Functions

Filling, capping and labeling sample containers.
Pick and package sample orders and/or “ground shipments” for shipment via Parcel Service or Truck Line.
Ship packages through the Parcel Service Computer Systems
Print on-demand labels for samples and certain products
Prepare international shipments
Operate and maintain forklift
Maintain finished goods inventory in proper bin locations
Pick customer orders using WMS (Warehouse Management System)
Load customer orders per Bill of Lading on trailers
Offload in-coming materials from trucks
Performing cycle counts with WMS (Warehouse Management System)
Work in other work centers associated with production as needed
Offload in-coming materials from trucks as needed

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Complete all assigned training.
Contribute to a safe and environmentally secure work environment for yourself, your coworkers, and our customers by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following established safety procedures.
Report and take action to correct identified safety hazards during your shift.
Perform other duties as assigned, if qualified, to meet business demands.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be proficient in the operation of forklift.
Must know to configure a “throw” pallet.
Must know of all bin locations.
Knowledgeable of DOT hazardous materials regulations
Obtain DOT Hazmat and IATA Hazmat certifications
Knowledge of how much product/weight can fit in a trailer.
Must be able to operate dock plates.
Understand proper block/ brace procedures.
Must be self-motivated and able to keep up with production demands.
Must be able to communicate effectively and interact well with a variety of personalities within a production environment.
Must be flexible and willing to help others when requested.
Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Due to the nature of our business, the ability to understand, read and write English fluently is required for safety reasons.
Must be able to interact well with a variety of personalities within a production/manufacturing environment.

WORKING CONDITION & ENVIRONMENT

This position requires exposure to various chemicals in a production environment. Exposure to dust, vapors, gases, chemicals is probable and personal protective equipment is required. Plant is not an air conditioned environment but is equipped with adequate air flow handling equipment and ventilation system. Plant is heated during the winter months.

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATION

High school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience in warehouse or logistics environments is preferred
Experience with operating warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, dock plates, etc.
Must be able to communicate effectively and interact well with a variety of personalities within the Distribution Center and production plant.
