Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials within a plant or warehouse using forklifts, handcarts and other equipment. You will follow SOPs, perform routine tasks, and work under supervision while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires basic warehouse experience or training, good reading/comprehension of English, and the ability to perform simple math. HS diploma or GED is required; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year warehouse experience or related training.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend English documents and perform basic math.
• Effective communication skills understood by coworkers and supervisors.
• General computer skills are preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED is required and verification may be requested.
• Forklift/order picker experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, order pickers, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within warehouses or plants.
• Maintain records and follow prescribed steps within SOPs.
• Work under general to limited supervision.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Read and interpret documents in English and perform basic math when needed.
• Adhere to quality guidelines and safety requirements.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses/training as needed.
• Adapt to a metrics-driven work environment.

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• HS Diploma or GED required & must be verified.
• Must have forklift/Order picker experience.

The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
