Kenco Logistics is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Portland, OR to pick/pack orders, inspect products, and prepare shipments with appropriate labeling and documentation. The role may involve operating forklifts or order pickers and requires adherence to DOT, IATA, and IMDG packaging regulations.

The position emphasizes accuracy in order fulfillment, attention to detail, and safe handling of materials, with opportunities to participate in inventory counts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Pass Background and Drug Screen.
• Able to complete physical tasks (stooping, walking, lifting up to 50lbs).

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and type of product.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• May operate a forklift or order picker for picking orders.
• Pack orders for shipments by parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Affix shipping and tracking labels to boxes and pallets; label per DOT/IATA/IMDG regulations.
• Report missing items or quality variances to supervisor.
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Inspect containers, materials, and products to meet packing specifications; document quality inspections.
• Participate in Inventory/Cycle Count as needed.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• Communicate and report incidents.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
