The position requires lifting up to 25 pounds and willingness to work weekends/holidays/overtime as needed, with a primary first shift and on-site work in Lancaster, TX.

Overview:

Olgoonik is seeking Warehouse Specialists to support the receipt, storage, inventory, handling, selection, and shipment of Government-owned products in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. The Warehouse Specialist will perform hands-on warehouse operations while using WMS and other Government systems to execute assigned tasks and maintain accurate accountability of Government material.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receives, inspects, moves, stores, and issues Government-owned products.
  • Verifies materials against receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Identifies and reports shortages, overages, damage, or other discrepancies.
  • Routes materials to designated storage locations.
  • Stores, stacks, palletizes, and rearrange material in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs physical inventories and assists in researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Examines stored products for deterioration, damage, contamination, or other issues.
  • Selects and removes material from storage for shipment.
  • Prepares material for shipment and ensure proper handling and identification.
  • Operates hand trucks and other warehouse equipment as authorized.
  • Uses WMS and other Government data systems to perform assigned duties.
  • Resolves common system error conditions and follow WMS prompts and SOPs.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation.
  • Follows all safety, security, sanitation, environmental, and warehouse procedures.
  • Supports receiving, storage, inventory, shipping, and other warehouse functions as workload requires.
  • Works effectively as part of an integrated Government/contractor team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, material handling, inventory, or distribution experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting, moving, stacking, and handling materials.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use WMS and other computer-based systems.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and accurately complete documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, extended hours, and overtime as required.
  • Must be articulate, creative, a problem solver, a decision maker, and a change agent.
  • Must have excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or Department of Defense experience.
  • DLA WMS experience.
  • Experience with warehouse receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Experience working in a high-volume distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Government supply systems.
