Job summary

Kentucky Smelting Technology, Inc. (KST) is hiring a warehouse associate to support shipping, receiving and production operations. The role includes forklift operation, inventory control and accurate documentation of inbound and outbound goods in a fast-paced environment.

You'll unpack and repack items, use scan guns and small equipment, follow 5S standards, and participate in team meetings and training while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Warehouse role requiring basic math and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• May perform warehouse duties including forklift operation, inventory control, receiving and shipping.
• Unpacks, repacks, places items, etc.
• Uses tools to confirm freight quantities.
• Operates forklift and/or crane for loading and unloading.
• Operates other production or processing machines, such as a scan gun.
• Inspects product before shipping.
• Cleans work area according to 5S standards.
• Enters production data into basic spreadsheet systems.
• Follows approved procedures and precautions.
• Assists in providing a safe environment for all employees.
• Maintains paperwork of incoming and outgoing products.
• Participates in team meetings and training.
• Other duties may be assigned.
