Olympic Steel, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a versatile shipping/receiving assistant. You will load and unload material with a forklift and overhead crane, assemble wooden skids, package parts, and help machine operators.

Responsibilities

• Assists in shipping and receiving department
• Assists machine operators
• Operates forklift to load and unload material
• Operates overhead crane to load and unload material
• Assembles wooden skids and assists in the banding of material
• Packages and/or kits parts
• Finishes parts by hand grinding or use of deburring machine
• Measures material or parts based on customer specifications
• Keep work area clean and maintained throughout shift
• Skilled at basic measuring tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay strong attention to detail and follow directions
• Knowledge of power tools and machinery is a plus
