Job summary

Johnstone Supply, North America's leading wholesale distributor of HVACR equipment, parts, and supplies, invites you to join our team as a COS Material Handler. This role supports receiving, stocking, and distributing products across our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and safety.

You will operate forklifts, pick and pack orders, check shipments, maintain documentation, and participate in inventory counts while upholding Johnstone's safety standards and customer service focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger) or 1 year operating Johnstone equipment under supervision.
• Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) to locate, put away, and move products daily.
• Receive product by forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.
• Verify shipments against packing lists and paperwork; ensure accuracy and condition.
• Verify bar code labels and stock numbers by scanning products and printing labels.
• Fill orders by picking, packing items, and stacking them to minimize damage.
• Prepare shipments by palletizing, wrapping, loading into trucks, and placing packing lists.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and other warehouse projects.
• Maintain warehouse machinery and equipment; keep a safe, clean work area.
