Responsibilities

Warehouse Specialist

As directed, the Warehouse Specialists shall perform a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following:

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment
  • Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Use the Government provided databases including MRPII (Manufacturing Resources Planning (Version 2)), ATICTS (Automated Tool Inventory Control Tracking System), MAXIMO, ASKARS (Automated Storage Kitting and Retrieval System), EXCEL and ACCESS to maintain accurate inventory tracking of all components, materials and kits currently in the maintenance process within the FRCSE
  • For tracking inventory at warehouses not onboard NAS JAX, the employee shall utilize the existing Excel inventory tracking system provided by FRCSE.
  • Maintain the tracking system to identify the exact physical location of all parts, components, material and kits within each warehouse. Each time a component or kit is moved within the warehouse, the employee shall document the action appropriately in the Government provided databases
Required Experience, Training & Certifications
  • Must be comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, a mature and respectful demeanor and a professional appearance are a must.
  • Any candidate that has past ATICS and MAXIMO data system experience is a plus.
  • History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
  • This position requires normal physical functions.
  • Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing.
  • May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
  • May be required to work in areas in the hangar that are noisy and dusty.
  • May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
Required Security Clearance Eligibility
  • Applicant must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check with the Department of Defense.

This role operates within a hangar and warehouse environment. The employee may be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as noise, dust, heat, cold, and wind. The position requires the ability to work effectively in an active, industrial setting.
