Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for a temp-to-hire role in Houston, TX. The first shift runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of $18.17 per hour.

You will load and unload materials, operate fork trucks or Wave machines, and support packing, labeling and shipping tasks. This role requires basic math and reading skills, ability to follow safety guidelines, and familiarity with Oracle/JDE or similar systems.

Qualifications

Warehouse SpecialistTemp to Hire$18.17/hr1st shift 7am - 3:30pm

Essential Functions:

• Operates a fork truck and/or Wave machine by loading and unloading materials onto racks.
• Operates manual and automatic banding equipment.
• Operates various power tools.
• May operate an electric various material moving equipment.
• Loads or unloads products.
• Handles raw and finished materials.
• Transfers materials to flats for transportation throughout the facility.
• Verifies markings and material certifications.
• Reads and interprets order requirements, receiving reports and shop orders.
• Reads pick lists, accurately pulls correct parts, verifies quantities, and audits transactions.
• Accurately packages, labels and weighs parts per work instructions and specification.
• Coordinates delivery of customer goods with freight companies.
• Utilizes the Oracle/JDE system to complete tasks.
• Prepares freight bills and processes documentation for exports and domestic shipments.
• May handle an increased amount of requested information from LBP s and customers about shipping information, bill of lading, tracking information, packing lists, etc.
• Must follow all safety and quality guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Supervisor. or Manager.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn and obtain certifications (as required) to operate various material moving equipment, power hand tools, and overhead hoists.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to learn company software including Oracle/JDE system within one month of employment.
• Ability to use computers and other general office equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple calls, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and perform cross functional job assignments.
• Ability to do all of the above under stress and deadlines, sometimes without all available resources.
• Flexibility in work hours; available to work occasional to frequent overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience with picking and Kitting processes.
• Experience with Forklift and Wave machines
• Experience with Oracle/JDE software.
