Qualifications

Job description

Ecolab, the global leader of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Warehouse Specialist. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparation, and shipping of all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Manually pick orders and stack them onto pallets using a scanner.
  • Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked.
  • Use various pieces of warehouse/shipping equipment (manual pallet jack, electric and propane fork trucks) to move pallets.
  • Verify quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped.
  • Examine all packaging and contents of items for quality.
  • Verify all packaging information against the packing list and SAP.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Customer Service, Logistics and Plant Production Teams.
  • Manage shipping box assembly, induction for packaging and label preparation/application.
  • Load/Unload trailers with packed boxes and pallets.
  • Identify items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead.
  • Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pull completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for packers.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Green Tree / Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Work week and shift: M-F / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Compensation package offered: $20.85 / hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School degree or GED equivalent.
  • 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • 1 year of forklift experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this opportunity.

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires regularly lifting, carrying, and properly handling up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment (dust, noise, odors).
  • As a prerequisite, this position requires a passing drug screen and physical exam.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or any relevant certification.
  • 2 years working in a warehouse that supported a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (examples: data entry, Internet/e-mail, etc.).

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$19.00 – $21.00 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
